Round 3 - Return of the Meme

General Rules

• Personal attacks and any kind of abusive trolling, hate speech, or bullying are obviously forbidden. Anon comments violating this rule will be deleted, signed in members will be banned.
• If your comment is deleted/screened/frozen and you don't know why, please email the mod at  hhanonmeme@gmail.com. (If you notice it happening to your comments and you know they're safe, a quick email for the mod to come and unscreen them would be helpful also).
• Prompt posts will close to new prompts at 3,000 comments.

Prompting Rules

• One prompt per comment. 
• Please follow the correct format (see below).
• Include trigger warnings in the subject line. Use your discretion and please be considerate.
• If your prompt is missing something, such as a subject or a warning, repost it in it’s entirety. It is not enough to reply to your own comment with the missing information. The mod will delete the previous duplicate comment.
• Multiple fills of the same prompt by different author!anons are allowed.
• If for any reason you start a fill but feel you can't finish the WIP you've created, and if you're happy to let someone finish it for you, put it up for HH Meme Fostering and Adoption.
• Prompts for projects other than Horrible Histories (ie. Spy, Gavin and Stacy, Rev, St. Trinian's, the O2 adverts etc., and RPF involving actors from those projects should be posted at the What? They've acted in other things?! post.

A/N after writing the baby Mat fic I wanted this so badly I had to write something

“waaaaah”

“oh Hades no”

“weeeeeh”

“alex it’s your turn to get up”

Alexander rolled over and buried his head in the pillow

“no it’s not heph”

“it IS, I got up last time AND the time before that AND the time before that and the time...”

“alright, alright” huffed Alexander, “i’m getting up”

Yawning he pulled his chiton over his head and tip toed into the adjoining room of the palace where his son lay, tiny fists waving in the air, fat legs kicking crossly and a general look of “I WANT” on his face

“sshhhhhh” said Alexander

The blue eyes, so like his own stared back at him and then little Alexander paused, took a deep breath and

“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH”

Alexander sighed. How was it that he, conqueror of the known world, was defeated by a small baby? Little Alexander had been fed and changed not an hour before so he didn’t need either of those things.

“ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”

“sshhhhhhh little one you’ll wake up the whole palace” said Alexander rocking the cradle in an ineffectual attempt to sooth his son and heir, but he was having none of it

“weeeehhhh” he wailed “waaaaaaaahh”

Alexander reached into the cradle, his big battered hands gentle as he lifted his tiny son up and put him against his shoulder. Immediately little Alexander curled into him, his cries ceasing almost immediately.

No-one could ever doubt you are my son thought Alexander, rocking his child against him. So determined to have what you want and not be quiet until you get it.

He walked to the window and looked out surveying his capital city

“one day” he whispered “one day, little Prince all that you see will be yours, everywhere touched by the shadow of the moon and beyond, far far distant lands that I will conquer for you little one.

“Alexander?”

Hephaestion came and stood next to him stroking the downy head of little Alexander, who seeing Hephaestion gurgled and clutched his finger in his hand

“is he alright?”

“yes he’s fine” said Alexander looking down as his son yawned sleepily
“I'll try and put him back in his cradle”

They crossed the room and Alexander carefully lay his son down, stroking his soft cheek

“sleep my son” he said “and go to the land of dreams” and first he, then Hephaestion, gently kissed him good night.

Cromwell(/Any) + Everyone, Christmas

We all know how much Oliver Cromwell hates Christmas. One year, the other occupants of the time sewers get together and insist that he celebrates with them anyway. This provokes much grumbling from Oli about sin, and a whole lot of denial about how much he's enjoying himself- and yet, he might still get a kiss under the mistletoe.

So, Larry is the workingclass man from Brighton, he swears, he is always (inappropriatly) hilarious and all those things.
Ben is from a upperclass family, he knows his manners, he knows how to hunt for foxes and he knows how to behave.

Now, I didn't want to write "My Fair Lady", but... that is sort of what I want. Ben trying to change Larry so that he will fit into the Willbond family, but then realising that this is not the Larry that he fell in love with and... all the american cheesiness.

I will also marry you if you have butlers, mansions and christmas trees involved. (If you don't want to marry me, I can bake you stuff instead! :D)

[RPF] Jim's Sister + SImon's Sister setting up their brothers

I have this weird head canon about their sisters - Jim's (Jo Pink) is his big sister, but Jim always tried to protect her from bullies even though she usually had to bail him out of trouble, while Simon's (my head canon named her Becca) is his little sister who teased him and made him model all her clothes/make up because they have similar complexions/builds.

So, one day the sisters run into each other and after talking realize their brothers are co-workers. They start emailing and all that, then realize their brothers have crushes on each other. When confronted both Jim and Simon basically say, "No! He's in love with (insert other cast member of your choice)!"

Can their sisters knock their brothers' heads together and get them to date?

George I never realized that walpole cared for him; following his death and George II ascending to the throne, Walpole plans to retire. It turns out George II has been in love with Walpole since they met. Walpole puts aside his feelings toward George I and tries to build a relationship with George II. George II is ecstatic and wants to shower Walpole with gifts but Walpole is still conflicted about taking up with the son of his recently dead crush.

It's always been big - it had to be, when he tended to hog all the covers, and Hardy snored and kicked in his sleep, and - and -

The wind grows louder, the covers shifting on the bed with the movement of the ship – still rumpled from this morning.

He curls up in Hardy's chair, uncaring of the look he'll probably give when he leaves the Captain's meeting, and looks at the bed, trying to work out when it got so huge.

The door opens and Hardy enters, raising an eyebrow at Beatty.

Beatty raises his in reply, falls into the comfortable back-and-forth he and Hardy has, all thre - all -

He shakes himself, a crack appearing in his heart, and looks up at Hardy.

"Any news on the storm?"

Hardy sighs as he removes his jacket, sitting heavily in Beatty's chair.

"It'll be here soon, but there's nothing more we can do apart from sit tight and wait it out. How are the men?"

"Same - nothing more I can do I'm afraid, we've just got to wait till morning."

They sit in silence.

The wind howls louder.

Beatty's sure that the bed must have been changed at some point. There's no way it was that big before.

"I'm sorry about Andrew," Hardy says, and Beatty snorts, hugging his knees.

"He was defiant to the last," he replies with a smile (another crack appearing as he remembers) and Hardy smiles at that - thin, but a smile nonetheless.

"Sounds like -" his breath catches and for a moment Beatty doesn't want him to finish that sentence, "like everyone on board," he says, and Beatty wants to sob in relief.

"True."

"Except for the loblolly boy," he adds, and they both laugh at that, the cabin ringing with the noise.

"... Where are you sleeping tonight?" Hardy asks.
