So basically, LJ have deemed comment subject lines superfluous, effectively screwing over all comment-based memes and kinkcomms.

As of last night, we're completely backed up over on http://hhanon.dreamwidth.org but this means we're missing about 20 comments from round three. The queue to import is a little slow today, unsurprisingly, so we should be back on track in a couple of hours.

In the mean time, I would ask that you use the following comment format:

Until such time as someone informs the mod how to (a) bring back comment subject lines or (b) we decide to abandon HMS LJ and move to Dreamwidth.

I'll start again.

Hot on the heels of the move of our Delicious archive to Diigo (if you were unaware, it's here), the subject of an AO3 collection of works here has been proposed. We - your archivers, interested parties and myself - would control a master-account to which the fills can be attributed, but there will be a way for people claiming their fills to contribute their work to the master-list.

This would allow all us shameless little addicts to download fills in PDF and other formats supported by AO3 for further, repeated consumption, as well as give us some security should LJ pitch one of it's habitual fits.

So, as many of that opinion say AYE, and all of those not in favour say NO.

DIVISION

Aloha one and all, just a quick update on some of the work going on *splodge* "behind the scenes" here.

DELICIOUS ARCHIVE

As you may or may not be aware, Delicious was taken over and their tagging system got fucked - to cut a long story crudely short. So: our archivers have been working very hard to bring you a working, properly organised archive, and this has resulted in a move from Delicious to Diigo. The new archive can be found here, and all other links have been altered to reflect this change. Please update your bookmarks!

ONCE ROUND TWO HAS REACHED ~3000 COMMENTS, WE WILL HAVE A ONE WEEK PROMPT FREEZE.

For any of you unfamiliar with what this is, it means that I will close round two, just as I closed round one. I will not post the round three prompt post for one week. If you post a new prompt to either round, I will delete it. Save up your inspiration, and get ready to prompt it when round three goes up.

This is to give us all an opportunity to go take a look at the unfilled prompts from the previous two rounds. There's some cracking prompts in there, and it's a shame to see them falling by the way-side, overlooked like phantoms in the fandom. So, the rule of that week is: DON'T POST, FILL A GHOST.

FINALLY, PUTTING YKINMK INTO PRACTICE AND USING WARNING LABELS

Can I take this opportunity to thank you for all being a wonderful bunch of people who are very respectful and outstandingly talented and funny. You're brilliant. However, I've had to deal with one or two moments, being called upon to wield my modly weapons.

Yes, we're essentially a non-judgmental place and operate a kind of YKINMK ('Your kink is not my kink', which is short hand for 'scroll down if you don't like it, motherfuckers'). That said, there are a few things which I personally will not allow on this meme for various reasons (mostly because we're a young fandom and I don't mean in terms of three aired seasons). I'm all for 'porn and awesome for the masses' but a line has to be drawn somewhere.

I will delete any prompts or unprompted fic which promotes maternal/paternal incest; extreme underage (by which I mean <14) sexual relations, whether between two teenagers or a teen and a middle-aged King; and heavy non-con. Also, if you're posting anything which could potentially trigger anxiety or adverse effects in someone else, please warn for it. It takes a couple of seconds to think of someone else's feelings, and it can make sure they have a wonderful life in our fandom.
