Round 3 - Return of the Meme

General Rules

• Personal attacks and any kind of abusive trolling, hate speech, or bullying are obviously forbidden. Anon comments violating this rule will be deleted, signed in members will be banned.

Prompting Rules

• One prompt per comment. 
• Please follow the correct format (see below).
• Include trigger warnings in the subject line. Use your discretion and please be considerate.
• If your prompt is missing something, such as a subject or a warning, repost it in it’s entirety. It is not enough to reply to your own comment with the missing information. The mod will delete the previous duplicate comment.

UNPROMPTED: Kings of Comedy (And Snogging), Jim/Mat, PG-13

They won.

They won.

A night of disappointments, though he can’t feel too bad for the winners were alright (Though Martha deserves the world, and Larry and the other writers deserve another one on top of that), and they’ve finally won. Finally got another award, finally saved themselves from the net of danger yet again.

And he rockets to his feet. Well aware of the hall exploding around him. Of Ben slapping Simon on the back, of Caroline trying to restrain Larry from shooting off to the stage, of Martha actually hopping up and down on her chair…

And he sees Mat, beaming and shooting towards him…

And-

…Well.

Maybe dragging Mat down for a very involved, very passionate first kiss wasn’t the best idea in a hall full of onlookers. He will admit.

There’s a long pause. His heart pounding in his ears (so overdramatic, actually true in this case), Mat’s arms warm and somehow soothing around his waist.

…He draws back.

And the celebrations are still going on. Martha laughing at both of them in the fondest way possible, Ben and Simon shaking their heads and grinning, Larry having spun around to film the whole thing with Caroline vaguely slapping at his arms and even the whole hall around them only continuing to brightly applaud.

He breathes in for a long moment… Slowly glances back at Mat.

Who is beaming, and reaching out to grab his hand even as he takes the hint and gently pulls away, and mouthing at him as they slowly walk towards the stage (Caroline finally managing to wrest the phone off Larry the moment that they pass), ‘later.’

…Later.

He can deal with later, as they finally reach the stage with Mat still ever so warm at his side.

He can definitely deal with later, as the award glitters ever so brightly ahead.

Anyway, I need a fic where Simon suddenly has memories rush back to him of being the Doctor - he's been fobwatched or something. Naturally, he turns to the cast mate he trusts the most (and maybe has a crush on) :D. Cue madcap adventures as Simon tries to recover the TARDIS and the rest of his memories, while Jim tries to protect him.
If it turns out one of the cast is the Master or the Rani, I won't complain! XD

Because they won, and they got drunk, and they might be horribly embarrassed about it in the morning (though no proper angst, please) but for now it's time to snog.

"We won! Again! That's hardly even fair!" Larry yells, clutching their BAFTA in one hand and a wine glass in the other. Mat, pressed close against his back, his chin tucked over his shoulder, grins and Larry pulls a face as Mat's stubble catches against his cheek. Ben laughs and everything is right in the world, because they won (again!) and there's music and Jim and Martha are rubbish at dancing and his brilliant castmates are unfairly gorgeous and he is mostly definitely drunk.

"You're drunk," he tells Ben, craftily deflecting, but then Mat ruins it by literally laughing in his face, his breath warm and damp and distinctly wine-scented against his nose, and when Larry tilts his head vaguely in Mat's direction to retort with something undoubtedly witty and hilarious, instead he finds that Mat's face is slightly too close to focus on properly and his mouth has inexplicably stopped working.

"And you're about to fall over," Ben says, curling his fingers over Larry's own as he tries to rescue their award from his increasingly lax grip, as Mat's arms encircle his waist and this is party is brilliant, really, and whoever invented face-to-face kissing was clearly onto something because this sideways business is incredibly awkward. Because, right, Mat is kissing him, or he's kissing Mat, he can't actually remember how this started but there's a hyena laughing somewhere off to his left and he's not at all surprised to realise that he doesn't want to pull away first. Ben claims the BAFTA from him with a triumphant laugh that makes Mat look up, leaving Larry to just lick his lips and blink at him, before he remembers to stop contemplating the sweep of Mat's eyelashes and turns to focus on Ben, squinting in a way that has absolutely no relation to glaring. Or being drunk.

Ben starts laughing again. "You were going to drop it," he says, like that makes stealing okay, and even though Mat is distractingly warm and still clinging to him, Larry flails his hands vaguely in Ben's direction, managing to grab hold of his sleeve mostly by luck and yanking him closer. The half-foot of space between them disappears as Ben lets himself be reeled in, his non-theiving hand landing on Larry's hip. "Oh, is it my turn now?" he says, and yes, yes it is.

Mat's giggling tickles his ear (it is actual giggling, some awake part of Larry's mind notes, and adds a reminder to mock him mercilessly about it some time when his mouth is under his own control) as Ben kisses him, he definitely didn't start it this time and then Mat is somehow managing to giggle and kiss his neck at the same time and he can only really focus on one thing right now, so he cracks one eye open and grabs their trophy from Ben's unresisting fingers. Ben laughs against his mouth, which mostly just tickles and neither of them are pulling away yet, even as Mat makes a noise and does something with his arms that involves Ben pressing even closer.

"You're our prize as you keep hogging the trophy," Mat says, and Ben kind of rumbles in agreement, and it makes his lips itch and he pulls away first (dammit!) to gnaw at his bottom lip, flinging his weight suddenly back against Mat and somehow they both stay mostly upright.

"I'm not your comedy whore," Larry crows, with as little slurring as possible, and Ben catches his wrist to encourage him vertical, Mat still clinging onto his waist.

"You're our little comedy genius," Mat says sagely, trying to pat his head without unwinding his arm from around Larry's body and ends up mostly just hitting him in the face. Martha suddenly appears through the crowd like a saving angel.
