hhanonRound 3 - Return of the Meme
General Rules- Personal attacks and any kind of abusive trolling, hate speech, or bullying are obviously forbidden. Anon comments violating this rule will be deleted, signed in members will be banned.
- If your comment is deleted/screened/frozen and you don't know why, please email the mod at hhanonmeme@gmail.com. (If you notice it happening to your comments and you know they're safe, a quick email for the mod to come and unscreen them would be helpful also).
- Prompt posts will close to new prompts at 3,000 comments.
Prompting Rules
- One prompt per comment.
- Please follow the correct format (see below).
- Include trigger warnings in the subject line. Use your discretion and please be considerate.
- If your prompt is missing something, such as a subject or a warning, repost it in it’s entirety. It is not enough to reply to your own comment with the missing information. The mod will delete the previous duplicate comment.
- Multiple fills of the same prompt by different author!anons are allowed.
- If for any reason you start a fill but feel you can't finish the WIP you've created, and if you're happy to let someone finish it for you, put it up for HH Meme Fostering and Adoption.
- Prompts for projects other than Horrible Histories (ie. Spy, Gavin and Stacy, Rev, St. Trinian's, the O2 adverts etc., and RPF involving actors from those projects should be posted at the What? They've acted in other things?! post.
Format of Prompts
- Put [RPF] before RPF prompts.
- For crossover prompts: "[Crossover], HH Character(s)/Other Character(s), [Fandom]"
- Anyone, everyone, no one? Use "Other."
- Put [GEN] before GEN prompts, just so you don't get unwanted shipping.
- Use appropriate warnings. I'm trusting you all to know what that means.
- Don't embed any photos, videos or other media.
- Copy and paste links in full; anon comments with active coded links are marked as spam and the mod doesn't switch accounts often enough - it may be a few days before those screened comments are de-screened (see: emailing the mod a heads up if it happens).
- To make the archiving job easier, please drop a link to your fill/unprompted fic here at the fills post.

Fill 4/4 Your Advisor - Louis XIV, Charles II and Sotherby PG Warning Dub Con

“Sothers let me in”
Charles banged loudly on the door
“Sotherby this is your King speaking. OPEN THIS DOOR”
There was silence and then the sound of bolts being drawn back.
Charles entered the room. Sothers was sat slumped facing away from him, his shoulders heaving spasmodically, more bruises visible on his neck and scratches on his back and shoulders. Charles felt his anger return again.
How dare Louis do this to him and to Sotherby.
“Sothers”
There was no answer
“Sothers look at me”
There was a choked noise “I cannot Sire”
Charles sighed and walked across the room, laying a hand on Sotherby’s shoulder, turning him round to face him. Sotherby’s face was tear stained, his eyes red and swollen, he didn’t meet Charles eye but stared at the floor.
“oh Sothers” said Charles softly his heart wrung with pity
“I do not deserve your pity Sire” said Sotherby “I have betrayed you, I have..I have...” he couldn’t bring himself to say the words
“you have slept with Louis” finished Charles for him.
Sotherby stared at him “how do you know?”
“Louis told me” Charles face twisted in anger “he drugged you Sothers, that’s why you don’t remember, he told me he knew you’d never sleep with him willingly, so...he drugged you”
Charles watched as a range of emotions swept across Sotherby’s face, disbelief, anger, and sorrow.
“drugged.....”
Charles knelt down and took Sothers cold hands in his own “it’s not your fault Sothers, you were not yourself, you couldn’t have done anything to stop him”
“I..”
“oh Sothers” Charles pulled him into his arms “if I could turn back the clock for you I would but I can’t, but it doesn’t matter to me what happened with Louis”
Sothers clung to him “it matters to me Charles”
“I know Sothers, I know but what I mean is, it doesn’t change how I feel about you”
Sotherby rested his head on Charles shoulder, “I do not see how you can feel the same Charles knowing what I did” he said his voice muffled.
"but it wasn't you Sothers don't you see? not the real you"
Sothers whimpered softly
“Sothers” Charles stroked his hair “what if I took you to bed? Would that prove to you that for me nothing has changed?”
Sotherby raised his face from Charles shoulder and rested his forehead against Charles, his eyes closed.
“yes Sire”
Charles held out his hand "come with me then" and Sotherby took his hand

“do you think I could have a stream at my next ball?
“if it pleases your majesty” sighed Sotherby knowing full well whose job it would be to organise that
Haha, this made me snort, really funny! :D
And then. Evil Louis being evil... really really well done. And his way of being evil, his remarks to Sotherby “you were willing enough last night” and then to Charles, ah lovely.
Oh and hurt Sothers is adorable. And Charles making love to him to prove that he doesn't care. Naw. <3

Evil Louis - well Louis XIV does rank near the top of my least favourite French monarchs poll ;)
Hurt Sotherby is just too damn easy to write - honest, upright people are always the least able to see, or deal with, duplicity (reminds self Sotherby is NOT REAL)
and I wanted Charles to get all alpha about it - don't mess with Sothers or you'll have Charles to deal with!
