I really must say that when my mother taught me about the Civil War I never thought that one day I'd be happily writing porn about the two main figures, whole shipping them hard at that. The things you realize in the middle of the night...

But, anyway, has anybody else had such moments of 'huh' over writing basically historical figures? <<

Just a little bit - then I remember that at least this way I can vaguely justify all the fangirling I do about history anyway xD

I have to admit, it is a fun way to combine both my weirdly burning desire to write and my fondness for history! :D Plus, it made trips around historical houses very interesting...

I grew up on historical fiction, so it doesn't really feel that strange to me.

That... Is a fair point, actually. Some of the history books I've picked up over the years have taken a equally porny approach to matters.
