It is nice - I was worried too, but the amount of prompts and the amount of fills (and luckily the rate that it's growing lol) is lovely as we can read and see all the fics and stuff :D

I still have a Eureka help_nz fic to write too. That hasn't stopped me filling prompts and generally bathing in all the glorious wonderful fic here. And I am so so so glad you made this because it is actually my favourite place on the internet.

I hope this is allowed, but it is kinda relevant to HH. I might be coming to UK in the spring for 6 weeks and I´d love to visit as many historical places like museums, castles etc. What would be a good area to live that is close to such things? I won´t have a car and London is too expensive. I love the countryside so it won´t necessary have to be a city, but it would be nice if it weren´t too far from one.

York is a great place to stay for all things historical.
If you stay in or near the city you can walk everywhere and there are more than enough things to see and do. There's the Minster which is amazing in itself but has Roman ruins in the crypts beneath it. There's the Jorvik viking centre, which is great, York Dungeon, which is a lot of fun in the spirit of HH, and one of the many many museums there has a preserved cell where Dick Turpin was held. That's really only scratching the surface, but I don't want to sound like the Tourist Board. I've had great holidays in York.
It's surrounded by lovely countryside and you could maybe get coach trips to other historical attractions throughout the north of England. National Express coaches that go from city to city are very cheap, especially compared to rail travel. There are lots of amazing things to see in the North of England and it's cheaper than down South.

No problem. Like I said, I've had so many good holidays in York. It's got so much history from different eras, and the city council is good at showing it off. Hope you get to visit England. : )

Okay I can't quite believe I'm going to ask this but my desperation levels have hit an all time high and this seems like the best place to ask.

Since so many people here are writing/into RPF I was wondering if there was any chance anyone might be into celeb RP and want to try their hand at writing Mat. I've been looking for someone to write him for about two years now and since most RPers are in the US and have no clue who he is I'm having no luck at all.

I'll do anything to make this easier for you, including making icons, and helping with research.

If you do happen to go to a larger city, check out how many of the city's museums are free. The UK is quite big on free entry for museums, which is always good.

Well, whereabouts are you looking to go?

Stirling is a good base if you want to do anything in Scotland - we've got the castle, the Wallace monument, Bannockburn heritage centre, Doune Castle and Dunblane Cathedral all within a walk/bus ride. Also, train wise you can get to St Andrews in about two hours for anything up there, Edinburgh in an hour, Glasgow in forty minutes, and if you want to do countryside things, Stirling is between the Trossachs (and Loch Lomond) and the Ochil Hills and it's not too big either :D It's also known as the gateway to the Highlands due to the easy access from there up to Inverness and all the various Glens and stuff :D

I admit I am biased as I live up there, but it's relatively cheap to stay up here, the transport price is okay (and even better if you get a Young Person's Railcard), and it's really beautiful in the spring :DDD

I've been killing time all afternoon by playing the Terrible Treasures game - and guys, I'm convinced they're playing up to us. There's extended scenes of shirtless Mat, and a game where you have to cover Ben Willbond in honey. (Admittedly, it's more along the lines of launching CG blobs in his vague direction, rather than 'use the mouse to lovingly rub it all over his nipples!', but he's making some damn suggestive faces while it's happening.)

It's either that or the humidity's getting to me.
