Round 3 - Return of the Meme

General Rules

Personal attacks and any kind of abusive trolling, hate speech, or bullying are obviously forbidden. Anon comments violating this rule will be deleted, signed in members will be banned.

Prompt posts will close to new prompts at 3,000 comments.

Prompting Rules

One prompt per comment.
Please follow the correct format (see below).
Include trigger warnings in the subject line. Use your discretion and please be considerate.
If your prompt is missing something, such as a subject or a warning, repost it in it’s entirety. It is not enough to reply to your own comment with the missing information. The mod will delete the previous duplicate comment.
Multiple fills of the same prompt by different author!anons are allowed.
If for any reason you start a fill but feel you can't finish the WIP you've created, and if you're happy to let someone finish it for you, put it up for HH Meme Fostering and Adoption.

Anyone, everyone, no one? Use "Other."
Put [GEN] before GEN prompts, just so you don't get unwanted shipping.
Use appropriate warnings. I'm trusting you all to know what that means.
Don't embed any photos, videos or other media.
Copy and paste links in full; anon comments with active coded links are marked as spam and the mod doesn't switch accounts often enough - it may be a few days before those screened comments are de-screened (see: emailing the mod a heads up if it happens).

Dave hit his head on the desk with a groan.

"Dave, you alright?"

Dave lifted his head and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Ever since we started this "Ask Dave" business, we've been inundated with letters, asking for help with their love lives. I've been unable to do paid work for about a week. How do you think it's going Rattus?"

"You're actually reading them?"

Dave looked at Rattus.

"That's the whole point - to read and answer the letters."

Rattus snorted, jumping down from the viewscreen and scampering over to the desk.

"Don't be silly Dave, you don't read the letters! You just make up some mumbo jumbo and everyone feels better!"

Dave looked at him.

"So when you said, hey Dave, we should set this up, we'd help loads of people, what were you actually thinking?"

Rattus jumped up on the table.

"Oh this does help, but really, it was to check the status of the timesewers. If the letters get through, then we're good, if they don't, the zombies have come back!"

Dave hit his head on the desk.

"Remind me to never listen to you again," he muttered into the pile of letters, and Rattus patted him on the shoulder.

"Don't ever listen to me again."

OP - YAY!! Thank you! It's so adorable - Dave trying his best to actually help the writers and Rattus being his usual self. The inclusion of Cromwell and Richard III makes me wave my arms in joy and do a Kermit impression.

Of course I do; you write comedy so well. SOme writers in other fandoms sacrifice being in-character for comedy; you made it in-character AND funny so hats off to you.

Those two references made me so happy because the first time I saw the English Civil War Song, my thought process went something like this:
