Depends on the fandom, really - in my experience, unless it's for some wildly successful big-ass American fandom, they usually take a month or so before they fizzle out.

I have to say, though, I'm pleasantly surprised that HH has a fandom at all, let alone such a friendly and active one. And it is nice that it's taking off here, seeing as most of the fans otherwise seem to be mainly based on Tumblr.

Fingers crossed that this state of affairs continues!

Truthfully I don't quite get how fandom in general works on Tumblr. Well, there's the picture-sharing and the squee, but having an actual conversation is a right bloody faff. (Then again, there's that forum, isn't there? I should actually join that, now I know where to find it...)

I like the picture-sharing, but yeah, complete lack of being able to talk, which is what I like LJ for. Different things on different platforms, I suppose, but I like how the tumblr-part is starting to find the LJ-part. I'm hoping it'll lead to more fic, because I'm greedy like that ;)

I actually found this via Tumblr, I think.

It is a lovely fandom though. And the quality of the fic so far is pretty amazing, I've been impressed at the fills we've had so far (although one of them was mine, so not that one. Lawl.)
