Okay, there's a hypothetical question that I've had in my head for a while and I suppose here is a good a place as any to mention it.
Supposing, hypothetically, that any RPSed couple did actually hook up in real life, what would happen? Would the fan girls be thrilled or would it actually just take all the fun out of the ship?

Oh my, I am trying my hand on my first fic here and I just got stuck, what would Sothebys first name be? I can't recall hearing or reading anything and wikipedia thinks that he is a auctionhouse or born in the 18th century.
Can anyone give me a name for this guy, pretty, pretty please? :)

Well, I'm pretty sure he's a fictional character made up for the purposes of the sketch, so you can probably give him any name you think fits.

And ooh, I think you might've inspired me to suggest a prompt based on this mystery...

Blenkinsop's first name has to be Bertie, doesn't it? It just has to be.

Being obsessed with Blenkinsop and Maltravers is definitely a thing I can relate to.

I've put them in the same category as Holmes and Watson. They have first names, but it would be far too weird to hear them used. Though Bertie Blenkinsop is pretty amazing...

I have so many feeeeelings about Blenkinsop and Maltravers. Far more than are warranted given they appeared in one two minute sketch on a children's show. But they are just so wonderful and exist in the most interesting period and are too cute. Much, much too cute.

Okay, did a bit of googling today as I suddenly realised I didn't know what Blenkinsop and Maltravers' ranks are.

It appears Blenkinsop might be a major because of what he has on his sleeve - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:British_officer_rank_ww1.png – he has 3 stripes and one thing, and a major has 3 stripes and one crown.

Looking like this also makes me think Simon’s character is a Second Lieutenant, and I have absolutely no idea what Maltravers is as I can’t see his sleeve well enough. It seemed to have one stripe but I couldn’t see if it had the rest of the Second Lieutenant stuff, so I’m going to assume Maltravers is probably the same as Simon’s character unless anyone knows more/can work out more than me?

LOL well, it seems to be slowly regaining some sense of wanting to write fills... now I just need to make senseof the jibberish on the pages...

Tbh, I always envisioned them as Lieutenants or Captains (very very new Captains though) just because they're so ridiculously young and adorable - erm, anyway, back on track.

Now that you mention it actually though, they would be higher up in that sketch, because they're talking about going to war (and then presumably tactics), and a Lieutenant and Captain (poss) wouldn't get invited to those conversations as they're too low down the ladder.

*bats away the plot bunny but it's too quick*
