George I never realized that walpole cared for him; following his death and George II ascending to the throne, Walpole plans to retire. It turns out George II has been in love with Walpole since they met. Walpole puts aside his feelings toward George I and tries to build a relationship with George II. George II is ecstatic and wants to shower Walpole with gifts but Walpole is still conflicted about taking up with the son of his recently dead crush.
